NEW 10 Tips for Moving Your Podcast Editing Business to a New Country
👋Hi Wavie,
Our new housing is adorable and the neighborhood is much more lively than the last one. What I didn’t expect were the sound issues in the apartment. Central air we can’t turn off and dripping water sounds are grinding on my nerves. So next week I’ll be trying out some coworking spaces so I can stay sane during worktime at least.
Speaking of working, let’s get you some valuable info about about this sound space we’re all a part of!
☕ DAWs: Have you used ReEQ in Reaper yet?
☕ signal chain: Podcasting with a $7,000 & $200 Signal Chain. Is There Even a Difference? (Tip: the quick comparison is from 5:14 to 5:54)
☕ equipment: Rode has some new gear.
👓 Have too much work?
If you’re lucky enough to be swamped with work right now, hurrah! If you need help, contact me. I can either help you myself OR help you find someone in the GPE community to help (referral fees may apply)
☕ recording: I love Bekah’s IG vids for podcasters. Probably no big surprises for you as a podcast editor but they’re good reminders. (And her mic is super cool. Just saying).
☕ potential clients : The more I think about it, the more I think our client outreach is the business equivalent of a podcast call-to-action (CTA). Which makes this advice relevant to your client search. Just replace “in your episode” with “on your website” OR “in your social post”
☕ global payment: Wise, a tool that has helped me work with folks globally in many currencies, is raising their rates. It’s still way more better than Paypal.

☕ global soul: Is this what you do with a paella pan?
We’ve got our residency permit appointment in a couple of hours and I’m jumping out of my skin. Medical insurance, the ability to get a local job and my fav, getting a library card are coming. Eeekkkkkkk!
Have a lovely weekend you lovely sound lovers!
