Do a wee bit more, charge a lot more and help your clients exponentially?
All while learning how to increase your own business presence
Hi Wavie,
I’m going to be honest with you, this email is not for everyone.
If you want to stick to audio only service
If you’re the type of podcast editor that only wants to work on the audio side of things, then take this coffee and go. See ya in the next Money Monday issue. In fact, take a coffee for a friend too. Cause I’m all about giving today!
If you are already having thoughts about how your client’s podcast can improve
Now, for those of you who stayed, let’s get down to it.
If you’re like me, while you’re audio editing, you’re thinking of how your client podcast can be better. Stronger, More interesting. Some tweeks are things we can do as audio editors but some things take a bit more permission. A bit more trust and conversation with your clients. And because we’re not independently wealthy, a bit higher fees too.
But what kinds of things can you offer your client to help their podcast grow?
Recently I had a live chat with Jeremy Enns over on the GPE YouTube channel. Just before his birthday, in fact. So he’s literally older and wiser now than when we chatted.
You can watch the video here.
There’s a few ways you can go about this:
You can flounder like I did and experiment on your own podcast and slowly roll out additional services to your clients
You can take Jeremy’s FREE workshop called the Minimalist Podcast Marketing Method next week.
You can sit in the idea of doing more and earning more for a long time with no action.
Oh, I hope you don’t choose the last option. Cause your ideas, are the things that you’re already thinking can help your client. They can help your client. So why keep them inside?
Jeremy is one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to podcast marketing and growth (we talked about the gross meaning the word “marketing” can have in the above chat. I bet what he said will change your mind!”). He’s built this workshop to help podcasters and business owners like you streamline your podcast marketing system to get better results with less exhaustion, overwhelm, and effort.
That’s the part I haven’t mentioned yet.
You can use the info in this FREE course to help YOUR podcast editing business too.
Win-win-win! (you, your client, and your business)
I’m a big fan of Jeremy’s approach to podcasting. It’s the whole reason I did the live last week. You see before I was a serious podcast editor I was a podcaster. With a struggling podcast. And I took one of his marketing for podcast courses (this one wasn’t around back then, which sucks for me but is great for you). And I was able to immediately apply a lot of his tips. I still have notes from that course, believe it or not. In Notion. Because Notion rocks.
You can get all the workshop info here.
Okay. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to finish unpacking. Our Air BnB is lovely but doesn’t have any closets. So Europe! So I am thinking of creative ways to hang my clothes without a rack. The joy!
Have a lovely weekend you lovely wavie you!
Steph
A striking red moka pot from our favorite coffee shop in Tirana, Albania: Tradita. Not only did they have great coffee for there and to go but they sold bags of mountain tea for $1. I miss that stuff. It was kinda like artichoke tea and green tea combined.
