#42: Remote Work & Client Attraction Tips
Are you curious what podcast editing jobs are remote/location independent?
Wow, the response to our first job post was far more than I expected. Let’s keep going!
We’re looking for work incorrectly and we need to put our efforts into TWO energy piles:
looking for jobs (what we’re familiar with)-now in the free version
making genuine connections so people offer you work (what we need to do more of) available in the subscription version only.
Remember: You can write off the $5 per month or $50 per year subscription because it’s a business expense!
This past Monday after I sent out the first remote job issue I got a WhatsApp message from someone who knew someone who had a gig that they wanted to recommend me for. (It’s awkward to write about this anonymously, sorry!) I hadn’t talked to that person in 3 or 4 months but there they were, reaching out with no prompting. The gig didn’t fit me but did someone close to me. BOOM, random past connection moment of joy. I want more of these moments for you!
So starting today in addition to remote podcast editing job listings (part 1), I’ll include a quick way you can make more genuine connections to fan the fire of these random outreach moments (part 2).
