September 29th LIVE Event Link Correction
Prerecorded Participation Available For Global Editors
We’re now in Bucharest, Romania, about 3-1/2 hours from the Transylvania region BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t get Transylvania beer. There was a dark and a light version and it truly wasn’t bad at all. Go figure.
Hi Wavie,
Just a quick Balkan pop-in to let you know 3 quick things about the September 29th LIVE event to pre-celebrate International Podcast Day.
The link in the last email was, eerrrr, not correct. Here is the correct one.
Although this is a collaboration with Just Busters, a group that supports women and non-binary podcast editors, this is NOT a gender-specific event. Anyone can apply.
Since this is to celebrate International Podcast Day, we’d love to get more editors from outside of the U.S. to apply. If time is an issue, we have a prerecorded video option. Complete the above form and we will send you the details if your proposed topic is selected.
We’re making the final speaker decisions THIS FRIDAY so please fill out the form soon. And if you think you don’t have enough experience, speaking skills, etc STOP. You do. We need your voice especially because the imposter syndrome in this space is big. HUGE. Monstrous. Not vampire monstrous but you know, biggy big big. (Yes, there will be 3 months of vampire jokes. How many times in my life do you think I’ll be in Romania? Make hay while the sun shines, right?)
Hasta la vista mi amore,
(I code-switch when I’m geographically discombobulated. I’m saying thank you in Croatian and hello in Spanish right now. Ah, the first week in a new country is something else!
Steph
No cafe coffees yet in Romania so here’s a flashback to Tirana, Albania. Ironically, many people thought I meant Romania when I said Albania when I met them online that year. So I guess in some weird way, this coffee photo makes sense. I’m rambling. Ciao!
